Ben Smith calls JoS. A. Bank’s free-suit-if-you-lose-your-job program a "sign of the times" and pokes some fun at former Senator Norm Coleman, whose shopping donor-funded shopping sprees at Niemen Marcus potentially violated Senate ethics rules.
Sidenote: I wonder if Norm Coleman, whose suit-shopping became a campaign issue, could stand to benefit from this one.
When Norm finally realizes that he lost and that it’s time to step aside, he could use the new suit when he replaces Michael Steele as Chair of the RNC.
If Coleman’s past ethics violations are any indication of the kind of chair he’ll be, he may get the chance to take Jos. A. Banks up on their offer.
