TOMORROW: Progressive Activists Share “Thank Taxes” Message on Tax Day via Mobile Billboard
St. Paul, MN – With the grassroots “Thank Taxes” campaign gaining ground leading up to tax day, Alliance for a Better Minnesota announces it will have a mobile billboard at the state capitol on Tax Day, featuring photos of Minnesotans thankful for the services they use and enjoy every day that are made possible through tax dollars.
Activists have been sending tweets, blog posts, and photos throughout the week to highlight the services that they are thankful for. Summaries, links and photos can be viewed by going to www.ThankTaxes.org.
The “Thank Taxes” campaign is in response to right wing, Republican and Tea Party activists who usually complain about President Obama, Health Care Reform and taxes on April 15. The billboard will be driving around the Capitol most of the afternoon, and a media availability will take place around 3:30 p.m.
WHO: Alliance for a Better Minnesota and the ThankTaxes.org mobile billboard.
