Tom Emmer Thinks Getting Paid for Work = Socialism.

WhatsThePlanTom.com
In an interview with the Associated Press this week, Tom Emmer
discussed his “reservations” about the minimum wage: “I think it does
hold people back.”  These comments come just months after his campaign
was derailed when he attacked the minimum wage for bar and restaurant workers.

Tom Emmer even went as far to say that a $6.15 minimum wage is
socialism.  On May 3, 2010, the Duluth News Tribune reported that Emmer
thought a higher minimum wage would result in a “true form of
socialism.” [Duluth News Tribune, 5/3/2010]

Yet Emmer is also hostile to entrepreneurs and job creators,
given his opposition to tax credits for investors in small business.

On March 29, 2010, Emmer voted against a DFL-written jobs bill, which
passed the House 112-20. Amongst the provisions are tax credits for
“angel” investors who invest in startup businesses. These tax credits
are the only proposals in the bill that have a cost, and the $10 million
tab would be covered by eliminating tax loopholes related to real
estate investment trusts (REITs). [Minnesota House of Representatives,
