Gov. Dayton is saving Minnesotan taxpayers millions with information technology efficiency.

Thanks to bipartisan legislation signed into law by Governor Dayton in 2011, Minnesota has saved $27 million on IT costs. It is projected that efficiency measures will save Minnesotan taxpayers an additional $7 million this year.

The effort has “reduced administrative waste, consolidated state contracts, reformed administrative processes, and implemented new accountability measures,” officials said in a statement.
