According to a new report from the Revenue Department, thousands of Minnesota homeowners fail to request their property tax refunds. The Star Tribune writes:
A new department report says only 1 in 4 taxpayers has responded to the Homestead Credit Refund notification letters by filing for the relief.
So far, just 11,000 Minnesotans out of 46,456 eligible have claimed their refunds, averaging $1,333.
Don’t fret, though! You have until August 15 to claim your refund. For details on if you qualify, the Department of Revenue has all the info you need.
