Public Policy Polling (PPP) released new numbers today showing the Minnesota GOP is in trouble: Minnesotans highly disapprove of Republicans in the state legislature, with only 18% giving them good marks, while 63% disapprove.
Even worse for Republicans, Democrats lead the generic legislative ballot. When asked who they would vote for in a legislative election today, 46% said the DFL candidate while only 40% said the GOP candidate. That lies outside of the margin of error, which was +/-3.1%.
Republicans should be worried about how underwater they are with Minnesotans a little over a year away from such an important legislative election. Clearly, Minnesotans know that Republicans have the wrong priorities, and consistently side with big corporations and the mega-rich over working class families.
