After eight years in the Minnesota House, Rep. Tim Kelly (R- Red Wing) is calling it quits. He’ll best be remembered for exchanging documents in Lebanon Hills Regional Park with fellow Republican Rep. Tara Mack, then lying about it, calling the sheriffs deputy who encountered them a liar, threatening to go to court, deciding not to, and then sort of apologizing to the whole of law enforcement but not the specific deputy for it. This incident might have caused him to think twice about the grind of another election.
