ST. PAUL – Today, Governor Dayton announced his supplemental budget recommendations.
Joe Davis, ABM Executive Director, released the following statement:
“Governor Dayton’s budget recommendations invest in a path to build a better future for all Minnesotans. After years of deficits, the governor has righted our fiscal ship and this plan continues the progress that’s been made to keep the budget stable. This is in stark contrast to the Republican plan, which promises tax cuts to corporations and the wealthy, blowing a $2 billion hole in the budget by 2019.
“Only one week into session, we’re seeing the same Republican inaction on key issues that plagued the last session and drove the gridlocked legislature into a special session last summer. Minnesotans deserve a government that works for them. Governor Dayton’s supplemental budget puts the focus on Minnesota families, and these investments will make the economy work better for everyone, not just the wealthy.”
