U.S. House Republicans Vote to Take Away Health Care From Hundreds of Thousands of Minnesotans

MN Republicans must ensure that Minnesotans maintain health care access

MINNESOTA – Today, U.S. House Republicans voted to pass the American Health Care Act, which would take away health care from hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans.

“U.S. House Republicans, including Reps. Jason Lewis, Erik Paulsen, and Tom Emmer, should be ashamed for taking health care away from hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans to give over $600 billion in tax breaks to big insurance and drug corporations,” said Joe Davis, executive director of Alliance for a Better Minnesota. “Minnesotans deserve to know what Speaker Kurt Daudt and other Republicans in the legislature will to do to ensure that we will be protected and have access to quality health care following today’s vote.”
