Minnesota consistently leads the country in voter turnout. That’s because we have fair, accessible, safe elections where everyone has a voice.
This year, we’ve had to overcome lots of challenges in our everyday lives, but voting is as easy as one, two, three!
Step one: register to vote
If you already registered to vote at your current address, you don’t need to do anything else! Not sure? Check your registration online.
If you’re not registered, you can register online until October 13th, register early in person, or register same-day at your polling place on Election Day.
Step two: make a plan
This year, Minnesotans can vote three ways: by mail, early in person, or in person on Election Day. You can vote at a time that’s convenient for you, or from the safety of your home!
To vote by mail, request a ballot online. When it arrives, fill it out and return it via USPS, through another parcel service, or by dropping it off at your local election office by 3pm on Election Day.
Your ballot must be postmarked by November 3rd (Election Day) and received by November 10th to be counted.
To vote early in person, find your local election office and check their hours. Don’t forget to wear a mask!
To vote in person on Election Day, find your polling place. If you need to register to vote same-day, make sure you bring everything you need to do so.
And we know you’re busy. So once you decide how you plan to vote, why not set yourself a reminder to make sure you get it done?
Step three: vote!
Time to cast your ballot! It’s important to come prepared. Visit mnvoterguide.org to see who’s on your ballot, and who’s been endorsed by the organizations you trust.
Wow, that was easy
We told you it would be! Now all that’s left to do is make sure your friends and family vote too. Will you share this post with two friends?
