Last month, all of Minnesota’s conservative congresspeople voted against a bill to create an independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. 

Minnesota conservatives tried to undermine democracy

In December 2020, conservative Reps. Pete Stauber, Jim Hagedorn, and Tom Emmer signed on to a lawsuit asking the Supreme Court to overturn the results of the 2020 elections. 

Even after Trump supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol, Minnesota conservative Reps. Michelle Fischbach and Jim Hagedorn voted to overturn the electoral college vote for President Joe Biden. 

Minnesota conservatives spread lies about the election

For months leading up to Trump supporters’ U.S. Capitol attack, conservatives spread lies and sowed doubts about the outcome of the election. And then they failed to take responsibility for encouraging Donald Trump and his supporters. 

Minnesota conservatives in Congress continue to show that they couldn’t care less about truth, transparency, or the will of the people. We’re going to keep holding them accountable for the damage they’re doing to our nation and our democracy.
