Are you ready to vote? Minnesota makes it easy.

Make your vote count. Vote early.

Minnesota consistently leads the country in voter turnout. That’s because we have fair, secure, accessible elections where everyone has a voice.

We know you’re busy, but this upcoming midterm election is too important to miss. Luckily, voting in Minnesota is as convenient as one, two, or three!

Step one: register to vote

If you are already registered to vote at your current address, you don’t need to do anything else! Not sure? Check your registration online.

If you’re not registered yet, you can register:

  • Online until 11:59 p.m. on October 18th
  • By mail (must arrive by October 18 at 5:00 p.m.)
  • When you vote, through Election Day, November 8th

Step two: make a plan

Minnesotans can vote three ways: by mail, early in person, or in person on Election Day. That means that you can vote at a time that’s convenient for you, or even from home!

To vote by mail, request a ballot online. When it arrives, fill it out and return it via USPS, through another parcel service, or by dropping it off at the election office that sent your ballot by 3:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Your ballot must be received by November 8th (Election Day) to be counted, so make sure to mail it at least a few days beforehand if you decide to return your ballot by mail.

To vote early in person, find your local election office and check their hours. Don’t forget to wear a mask!

To vote in person on Election Day, November 8th, find your polling place. If you need to register to vote same-day, make sure you bring everything you need to do so. Most polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. And remember, as long as you’re in line by 8:00 p.m., you can vote, even if you do not reach the front of the line until after 8:00 p.m.

Step three: vote!

Time to cast your vote! It’s important to do your research and come prepared. Visit the Minnesota Voice Voter Guide to learn about the issues and candidates on your ballot.

Wow, that was easy

We told you it would be! Now, there’s only one thing left to do. Make sure your friends and family vote, too! Will you share this post with two friends?
