Minnesotans Deserve To Know What Programs Scott Jensen Would Cut.

During a Redwood County Republicans Candidate Forum, conservative candidate for governor Scott Jensen touted plans to cut programs that Minnesotans rely on and slash funding for essential services.

Minnesotans are already hurting because of Trump’s plan that has made everything more expensive and taken health care and food assistance away from kids and seniors, all to give more tax breaks to billionaires and corporations. Now, Scott Jensen is threatening to make even more cuts, which could eliminate programs like free school meals for Minnesota kids.

During the forum, Scott Jensen said he wanted to freeze government spending in Minnesota and implement 5% cuts to each department.

It’s no surprise that Jensen is pushing Trump-style budget cuts. Donald Trump endorsed Scott Jensen during the 2022 gubernatorial election, and Jensen supports Trump’s policies that defund public education and gut health care programs to give tax breaks to large corporations and billionaires.

Scott Jensen haseven said that public education is “a black hole” and he would put “less money” into Minnesota schools as governor.

As a state senator, Scott Jensen voted to underfund Minnesota schools and reduce access to pre-K for Minnesota’s youngest learners. And Jensen voted to give millions of dollars in tax breaks to the wealthiest Minnesotans and big tobacco companies at the expense of schools and health care.

We need to hold these conservatives like Scott Jensen accountable

Minnesotans deserve to know exactly what Jensen plans to cut and how his agenda will affect our families and communities.
