The Truth About Conservative Influencer Jake Lang.

Jake Lang is a conservative influencer known for promoting and engaging in acts of political violence, and spreading anti-immigrant rhetoric and baseless conspiracy theories. 

This week, Lang is in Minnesota spreading dangerous rhetoric and tearing Minnesotans apart. Here is the truth about this deeply divisive influencer. 

Jake Lang Promotes and Engages in Political Violence

Lang participated in the U.S. Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. At the riot, he beat police officers with a shield and a bat, causing injuries that lasted for weeks. According to United States v. Edward Jacob Lang, Lang took a “leadership role” in the January 6 violence, “encouraging and exhorting others to commit violence…”

Later, after the violence had subsided and things had been peaceful for some time, Lang was one of those who ratcheted up the violence, crowd surfing so he could attack officers by climbing on top of the rioters standing closer to the officers.

Jake Lang Advances Dangerous Conservative Conspiracy Theories

Lang and his supporters have promoted the baseless conspiracy that the 2020 presidential election was stolen and that Donald Trump won. Lang also promoted the unfounded conspiracy that George Floyd was not murdered, and even posted an abhorrent “reenactment” on social media to try to prove his claim. 

Jake Lang is a Threat to our Immigrant Neighbors

Lang promotes anti-immigrant rhetoric. He has organized anti-Muslim and Somali marches in Minneapolis and other cities across the country, called for Trump to send in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to Plano, TX, to deport all Muslim and Somali people, and says he will “ban Islam” if elected to the U.S. Senate. Lang once spoke in front of the Dearborn, MI city council and attacked the Muslim and Somali people in the city, yelling “get the f*** out of my country” and “we don’t want you here.”
