Conservatives Eyeing More Health Care Cuts to Pay For Trump’s War in Iran.

Health care costs are skyrocketing, yet conservatives want to fund Trump’s bombs at the cost of protecting Minnesotans.

Trump and MN conservatives will embrace any opportunity to take health care away from those who need it most.

Conservatives’ efforts to slash health care for working Minnesotans aren’t new to us. Time and time again, when Trump needs money to support billionaires, corporations, and unwanted violence, working families pay.

Because of Trump and conservatives’ 2025 budget bill, Minnesotans who buy insurance on their own are seeing their premium costs skyrocket. Starting in 2026, individual market premiums in Minnesota increased by an average of 21.5 percent. This puts health insurance out of reach and raises costs for everyone at a time when many Minnesotans are struggling just to make ends meet.

Less than one year after the passage of Trump and conservatives’ disastrous budget bill, conservatives are threatening more health care cuts so the U.S. can supply $200 billion in funding for Trump’s Iran war.

It should come as no surprise that when the conservative agenda moves forward, working Minnesotans always lose.

It’s closer to home than you think.

More than 85 percent of conservatives in the Minnesota legislature support Donald Trump’s plan to cut services like the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid to give tax breaks to big corporations and billionaires. And none have openly disagreed with federal conservatives’ idea to cut health care to fund unpopular wars.

This year, four conservatives are running for governor and are all seeking Trump’s endorsement. None of these candidates have spoken out against the unjust and violent actions by the federal administration over the last year.

To candidates Lisa Demuth, Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, and Kristin Robbins: is this really the agenda you stand for?
