No matter what office Scott Jensen runs for, he will still bring Trump’s agenda to Minnesota

Today, Scott Jensen exited the Minnesota gubernatorial race and launched his campaign for state auditor. Jensen was endorsed by Donald Trump for governor in the 2022 election and supports policies that defund public education and gut health care programs to give tax breaks to large corporations and billionaires.

The remaining candidates in the race – Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, Lisa Demuth, and Kristin Robbins – are all still seeking Trump’s endorsement.

“Minnesotans have already rejected Scott Jensen for statewide office once because they know his extreme policies serve the ultra-wealthy, not working people. No matter what office Jensen runs for, he will still work to bring Trump’s dangerous agenda to Minnesota,” said Marissa Luna, Executive Director of Alliance for a Better Minnesota. “The remaining Minnesota conservative governor candidates in the race – Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, Lisa Demuth, and Kristin Robbins – are all still seeking Trump’s endorsement and have all made it clear that they will be a rubber stamp for Trump’s harmful agenda in our state. Minnesotans deserve better.”

As a state senator, Scott Jensen voted to underfund Minnesota schools and reduce access to pre-K for Minnesota’s youngest learners. And Jensen voted to give millions of dollars in tax breaks to the wealthiest Minnesotans and big tobacco companies at the expense of schools and health care.

Scott Jensen has said that public education is “a black hole” and he would put “less money” into Minnesota schools if elected.

Scott Jensen has remained silent on the killings, abductions of children, unjust detainments, and other violent actions by Trump’s federal agents during Operation Metro Surge. The other remaining Minnesota conservative governor candidates have either expressed support for Trump’s ICE agents in Minnesota or stayed silent.
