Conservatives Failed to Address Skyrocketing Healthcare Costs

After Trump and Republicans gutted the Affordable Care Act in 2025, Minnesotans have seen their healthcare costs skyrocket, with individual market insurance rates increasing by an average of 21.5% in Minnesota from 2025 to 2026. Families are being forced to give up access to life-saving care, but conservatives did nothing to address the exploding costs.

Conservatives Neglected Minnesotans Struggling in the Aftermath of Operation Metro Surge

During Operation Metro Surge, children were unable to attend school, families were ripped apart, community members were unjustly detained and assaulted, and Minnesotans were killed. Because of conservatives, Minnesota failed to pass a law to hold federal agents accountable. Minnesota was one of the few states that experienced increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence and did not take steps to limit the actions of these corrupt agents. 

Progressives brought forth countless bills to protect Minnesotans from Trump’s unruly agents, but conservatives like Lisa Demuth decided to praise the horror instead.

Small businesses had to close their doors for months while ICE agents terrorized Minnesota neighborhoods. Progressive lawmakers approved $100 million to help these critical businesses recover, but conservatives wouldn’t budge. So much for caring about small businesses, Lisa Demuth. 

Lisa Demuth and Conservatives Blocked a Gun Violence Prevention Bill.

Less than a year ago, students at Annunciation Catholic School were gunned down while praying. Parents of these students came together to share the devastating consequences of gun violence and plead for gun violence prevention efforts. 

They were even assured by Demuth that she would not block a gun violence prevention bill. Demuth failed to uphold her commitment to parents who had to bury their child.
