As President-elect Donald Trump prepares for his second term, Minnesotans are closely watching for acts that could affect abortion access.

From a full legislative session – where our progressive leaders fought to deliver victories for Minnesota’s working families – to the 2024 general election, where Minnesotans stood firm at the ballot box to defend our communities and build a better Minnesota for everyone, it’s been a whirlwind of a year.

As a refuge for LGBTQ+ folks in the Midwest, Minnesota’s progressive laws continue to protect LGBTQ+ people. And the fight isn’t over yet.

During the 2024 elections, Minnesotans stood up once again to fight for our communities and deliver victories, big and small, from the United States Congress to our local state parks, which will keep Minnesota values at the forefront.  

Donald Trump’s plan to enact the extreme goals of Project 2025, which include rolling back reproductive rights and cutting taxes for corporations, is wildly out of touch with the needs of Minnesotans and could have wide-reaching implications across our state.
