This week, progressives in the Minnesota House and Senate passed a budget that makes record investments in higher education. The bill is now headed to Gov. Tim Walz’s desk to be signed into law.

Yesterday, progressives passed a budget to make historic investments in Minnesota housing in a momentous victory for Minnesotans across the state.

Under this bill, Minnesota will establish a state-administered paid leave insurance program, where everyone contributes and everyone benefits.

Late last night, progressives in the Minnesota Senate passed three historic pieces of legislation supporting Trans, LGBTQ+, and abortion rights. 

Governor Walz’s speech highlighted the progressive victories of 2023, from making historic investments in Minnesota’s public schools to fighting climate change and restoring the right to vote for 50,000+ Minnesotans.

Minnesotans are sick and tired of having our rights put under attack. Abortion is essential health care. It is unacceptable that our conservative lawmakers refuse to stand up for reproductive rights. 

Our progressive leaders haven’t wasted a minute of this year’s legislative session. This March, they’ve passed several historic bills, with many more on the agenda.
