Michele Bachmann is at it yet again. It, of course, meaning going on right wing talk radio and spouting nonsense about the end of the world so fantastical that Michael Bay wouldn’t even make a terrible movie about it. The plot this time? World leaders are going to grant legitimacy to the Islamic State, and intervention in Syria is paving the way for an invasion of Israel for its energy reserves, as foretold in the bible.

The authors of the Book of Revelation were truly wise to know that wind farms and fracking for natural gas were going to be what ends up setting off the battle of Armageddon. Or, as Raw Story reports, we could end up instead with President Obama ascending to Secretary General of the United Nations.

One of the hosts then went on to say, “the whole idea of Obama being able to extend his presidency, even enhance it and expand it, I don’t think I need to say what I’m thinking because I think a lot of the listeners are thinking the same thing, and we all are too, and as you shake your head you wonder what’s coming next.” In some right wing circles this apparently means Obama is the actual Antichrist.

When Michele Bachmann was in Congress and/or running for President she stayed in the public consciousness by spouting off low-grade craziness. Now that she’s a private citizen she’s got to ramp things up a bit. If the Islamic State, Armageddon, and a one world government were brought up in her latest appearance, who knows what the future holds? We’re excited to find out, provided the world doesn’t end first.
