In their usual fashion, Rep. Kurt Daudt and legislative Republicans have prioritized corporate handouts, including tax cuts for big tobacco and the wealthiest, over hardworking Minnesotans in the new state budget.

Rather than do what’s best for our communities and adequately invest in our schools and healthcare, they’ve chosen to give millions of dollars in irresponsible, unaccountable tax handouts to tobacco and insurance companies and multimillionaires.

And now, they’re insisting on using your tax dollars to help protect those handouts in court, showing just how far they’ll go when it comes to defending tobacco companies and the wealthiest Minnesotans at our expense.
