Conservative Gubernatorial Candidate Kendall Qualls Doubles Down on ICE Support.

BY:
Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Kendall Qualls recently released a video statement doubling down on his support of Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Minnesota… After two U.S. citizens from Minnesota were killed by federal agents in the last three weeks.
Qualls claimed, “we don’t have an ICE problem,” and “if I were governor today, I would work directly with the administration.”
Qualls’ video launched just hours after conservative Chris Madel dropped out of the Minnesota gubernatorial race due to concerns about the national Republican Party’s “retribution” against Minnesotans.
“Trump’s ICE agents have killed U.S. citizens, detained legal observers without charges, tear-gassed students and teachers, and abducted children. Even so, conservative Minnesota governor candidate Kendall Qualls got in front of a camera today and doubled down on his support for ICE,” said Marissa Luna, Executive Director of Alliance for a Better Minnesota. “Minnesotans have seen and felt the terror ICE is causing in our communities, but Kendall Qualls doesn’t seem to care and has made it clear he will continue to support Trump’s ICE operation regardless of how much violence they inflict on people. Minnesotans are united in standing up for our neighbors, and we need leaders who will stand with us and fight back against Trump’s cruel, heartless agenda.”
Four conservative candidates in the race – Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, Kristin Robbins, and Lisa Demuth – have reaffirmed their support for Trump’s ICE operation in Minnesota.
Last week, federal agents detained and sent a 2-year-old girl and her father to Texas, defying court orders to release her to her family.
In one incident, federal agents abducted a 5-year-old boy who was on his way home from school and used him as “bait” to draw family members out of their home. Agents later took the father and boy away in a vehicle and sent them to a detention facility in Texas.
A recent CBS News poll showed that approval of Trump’s deportation program is at its lowest and that 61% of Americans think ICE is being too tough when stopping and detaining people. A majority of Americans feel that ICE is making communities less safe.
