Conservative Gubernatorial Candidate Lisa Demuth Doubles Down on ICE Support.

Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Lisa Demuth doubled down on her support of Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Minnesota… even after two U.S. citizens from Minnesota were killed by federal agents.

Children were unable to attend school, families were ripped apart, community members were unjustly detained and assaulted, and Minnesotans were killed. Demuth stood strong with Trump while his masked, armed agents terrorized our streets.

On January 22, just days after Renee Good was killed by ICE agents, Demuth attended a meeting with Vice President JD Vance and endorsed ICE’s actions in Minnesota. 

Demuth has been a steadfast supporter of ICE, and her caucus had been calling for more aggressive immigration enforcement prior to Operation Metro Surge. While her continued support in April 2026 is unsurprising as she vies for Trump’s endorsement, her failure to acknowledge the harm ICE inflicted on Minnesotans is abhorrent. 

Conservative Minnesota governor candidate Lisa Demuth has shown that she will work to bring Trump’s dangerous agenda, which unleashed thousands of masked, heavily armed agents, to our state.

Following the drawdown of agents, Minnesota communities are still reeling with trauma, and local economies are in shambles. However, Demuth believes that the federal operation “ultimately made the state safer.”

While Demuth contends for Trump’s endorsement for Minnesota governor, Minnesotans will not forget the damage his agenda has inflicted on our communities.
