Like many Minnesotans, we’re beyond frustrated by the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning President Joe Biden’s student debt forgiveness plan. 

Today, we honor the memory of Alec Smith, a young Minnesotan who died when he couldn’t afford his insulin.

It’s been one year since the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to eliminate the constitutional right to abortion established in Roe v. Wade. 

Thanks to the work of progressives in the Minnesota Legislature and the advocacy of the Black Minnesotans, this year, we’ll celebrate Juneteenth as an official state holiday! 

It’s been a whirlwind of a session. And though progressives have championed victories across the state, conservatives tried to road block us every step of the way. 

Governor Tim Walz and progressives in the Minnesota House and Senate passed and signed a budget into law, making historic investments in housing!
